Other than Cutler, there's pretty much no chance of getting any of these guys though... McCarron is an unknown quantity and just about any draft pick is a gamble. I agree with something Hellbird alluded to yesterday... In the 4th qtr, the Bengals were still playing very tight and conservative instead of trying to win the game. I'd rather seen Dalton throw 3 int's than not try to fit some throws in. Whether that is on him or the coaches, who knows.
January 5, 201511 yr Its not garbage at all. In fact I said it after the first colts game and I told you the exact thing during the week. Without Green they were in trouble. The colts were smarter than the other teams we beat without Green. Both games the colts just manned us up and stacked the box and flew down hill at the first sight of a run. They knew there corners could lock are receivers down. Which just like the first game there was no receivers open the majority of the game. In past playoff losses it was all Dalton, this was not the case. He didn't have many open receivers for him to even miss. There was basically two passes where he threw balls where if he had better placement they could have been caught. Every other pass the corners were in great spots to knock the ball down even if a throw was perfect. There was no seperation at all. Futurecoach, I really hate to break it to you but the Bengals were in trouble even if they had AJ and everyone else. AJ was not the reason Dalton stunk, he stunk because he is horrible period. 4 games this year AJ missed and all 4 of those games were against playoff teams. They only lost 1 of those 4 games without AJ, quit using him as an excuse for Daltons and the teams poor performance. The reason they lost was because Marvin Lewis is our HC and Dalton is our QB. When you have the best rookie RB in the game and you only give him 4 carries after the 1st qtr then your entire coaching staff should be canned. Don't tell me it was because they were playing catch up...they were only down 3 points down at halftime and getting the ball first after the half. Hill with 9 carries in the 1st qtr and only 4 the rest of the way is a joke. AJ wasn't the reason they lost, they lose every year in the playoffs even with AJ. You seem to have the Colts strategy backwards. You think they stuffed the box to take away the run, the fact of the matter was they stuffed the box simply because they knew Andy couldn't beat them by throwing the ball and had the minimum back in coverage most of the game. Guess what? They were right and did the same thing I would have done knowing Dalton could never complete a pass downfield so put 8 in the box and totally shut down the Bengals because their idiot coaches have no clue how to adjust.

Dalton has gone his last 17 quarters without completing a single pass 15 yards or more downfield. The last time he completed a downfield pass was in the 3rd qtr of the first Steelers game. Even ESPN's Tom Jackson last night showed the stat of yesterdays game showing Dalton was 0-9 in any pass for 10 or more yards yesterday. He just has not even been close when he goes down field the last month and I have no idea why because earlier in the season he was really pretty good when he went downfield. Now he hasn't come close to any reciever in the last month + when throwing downfield. Yesterdays passes downfield had 0 of them dropped by a receiver, all were bad throws period. If AJ would have played even if they double teamed him would have made no difference at all because the only passes Dalton can complete to him and the only ones he has in the last month have been quick slants and WR screens. Not one pass has he completed downfield to AJ since the first Steelers game. IF you double AJ you only need to do it for the first 10 yards from the LOS, anything after that you can count on Dalton over throwing him or sailing it 5 feet over his head.

I told you not having green would hurt even though you didn't think so. You said it doesnt matter because they should run the ball. Which I even agreed with. However what Dont you get that having Green would help with that. Shoot I even said they need Green to play but the game plan should be to run the ball. With Green as you just said they probably would have had to cheat a safety to that side. That does clear the box a little more, and would prevent them from coming down hill so quick against the run. They had zero respect for any receiver we had against them. Also you just admitted Dalton earlier in the year threw the ball down field well. However that didn't stop the Colts from just stacking the box the first time because they knew our receivers couldn't get open on them even though at that time Dalton was throwing deep well at that time. So they kept the same game plan because once again we still didn't have Green and once again it worked. If Green plays then it doesn't necessarily mean he would have great stats, but it changes what the colts do on defense. That's why it mattered that he didn't play. Then if they did try to single him up, he is one guy who could beat that. Then could have truly blamed Dalton if passes were still incomplete because he would have got seperation to get open if they single covered him.

I told you they would lose even before AJ was out. seriously you need to cut down on The Length of your post. Bengals were going to lose lose even if we had Megatron playing for us. Dalton was the QB and Marvin the coach. One of these years you will get it. I got it after 1 year of the combo, you are now going on 5 years and still haven't learned yet.
