Elijah Sindelar named 2014 Mr. Football

After seeing comments like those, they only make me happier that Elam didn't win it last year and Harris didn't win it this year. A classy award has no p,ace going to classless players.

One more thing, did Damien think if he got hurt week 1 and never p,ayed another snap that he should of still got it? People can try and defend these guys saying they are just kids, well I know a lot more "kids" who don't go on social media comp, aiming about the award winners.

Well said...

Some people aren't too happy about it....

@Damien_D1Harris: Lol crazy they gave it to him.

@FballIsLife69: They Be Tripping On That Award Though

They both might be right.

Best thing to do about the negative comments is to ignore them, especially in this thread. I see no reason to post them in this thread either.

Once again, congrats on the award, your whole high school career, and good luck at Purdue!!! Well done young man!!!

What were Sindelar's stats for the year? Didn't he break the passing record?

206 for 294 (70%) with 4 INTs for 3,609 yards and 49 touchdowns averaging 278 yards passing per game.

Not too shabby.

He will need it. The Boilermakers are not close to being relevant in Big Ten football.

Lord, you're an unhappy person...do you ever post anything positive? That's the same thing people were saying about Ole Miss and Mississippi State a couple of years ago.

Another this!

Congrats to Mr Sindelar! Well deserved.

Great young man. Maybe he is exactly what Purdue needs to be a fixture, again. He and Recruiting Coordinator, Gerad Parker, the KY connection in West Lafayette.

Rip it up Elijah and Go Boilers.

And Sindelar only averaged playing about 2 quarters a game. There were some games this past season where he was out before halftime. I've never seen any other team pull its starters as quickly as Caldwell did the last 2 years.

Congrats to Mr. Sindelar, Coach Barnes and all of the Caldwell Co Football Family.

Cory Robinson got pulled quite a bit when he played for Lone Oak back in 06 and 07 or he might have been a little higher on the list. Congrats to Mr. Sindelar.

Congrats to him, great young man who selected Purdue because of their engineering program. Making his selection largely based on this says a lot about him to me.

He may have been pulled but Lone Oak was doing all they could to get him in the record books his Senior season. If they were up 40 points in the first half and on the 1 yard line, they were throwing the ball to get another passing TD. Not hating on it, btw.
