Georgia 37 Louisville 14

Where I have said for some time UL needs help is with depth to take that next stride. UGA was an enigma all season. Some games they looked top 10 worthy, other times looked pedestrian. This does set up nicely for everyone to believe UGA will have a strong year next year with a potential run at the national title, but I expect Richt to go belly up by game 3 next season to wash away those hopes.

I'm trying to remember a year under Richt when UGa wasn't like that.

This is true.

That 2012 team that went 12-1 and nearly took out Bama in the SEC title game is as close as I can think. Even then, it was some typical boneheaded UGA stuff that cost them that game.

The new UGA motto: Failing to meet expectations, 1 season at a time.

Petrino would go on to beat No. 9 Boise State in the Liberty Bowl the next season, lose to cheating Marcus Vick and No. 12 Va Tech in the Gator bowl in January of 2006...

I'm still mad at VT for keeping Marcus Vick on the team long enough to beat Louisville in that bowl game and then throwing him off the team basically the next day.

Cheating? He had several speeding tickets, flipped off the WVU crowd and stomped Elvis Dumervil's leg...he was released for mounting legal issues and unsportsmanlike play which culminated with stomping Elvis's leg and then lying about apologizing to him. Marcus did a lot of things, but I don't think he cheated! :lol2:

Yeah... sorry... that's my weird sports vernacular.

I often refer to penalties as "cheating", since its something against the rules used to gain advantage over the opponent.

I always have people look at me weird when we're watching a penalty replay at the stadium and say "Oh yeah, that was definitely cheating."

Hmph. Gross.

Sadly this was the 2nd best team from Georgia pounding the best team from Kentucky.

Whatever makes you feel better.

Ha Ha:jump: When your 1 of 2 teams who dont make it to a bowl out of 14 teams that is what you get. On the other hand while your boy Bobby was going around the race track do you think he was thinking about his motor cycle mishap or that OSU has 3 qb's better than the 5 he has on campus. Just a thought

This is harder to understand than Navajo code.

This game reminded me of the FSU game for the defense. The defense played well for the first half with the exception of a couple of busted coverage plays. As the game wore on UGA was able to have success. Mostly was because the UL offense left points of the field.

Biggest think that has me puzzled is why Bobby played - Reggie in the first half. I thought Bolin was starting to get in a grove. I think it killed the the offense and never got a flow going after that.

Special teams is still terrible.

Happy with the year. I will take 9-3 and 10-2 any year.

This could be the best recruiting class in the history of UL. Bobby and the staff are doing a great job. Bobby also is the master of taking 2-3 star kids and turing them into playmakers.

Louisville has got to improve their depth, and size up front if they want to get to the next level.

They lucked out this year schedule wise, drawing awful Coastal opponents, missing the second best team in the conference (GT).

That's not a slam on them. They have a good thing going. But they'll need to bring in more SEC/ACC type players in the front four defensively and at linebacker. They have some of those players, just need more.
