@dannykanell: Louisville would sweep the SEC East too. Just FYI.

As Charlie's guys move on it will be interesting to see how UL adjust. Disappointing loss tonight but a solid run the last few years.

Chubb was going to get his last night regardless. Louisville's offense looked good on their touchdown drive in the 1st quarter, and then Petrino put in Bonnafon. The offense was never the same after that. Total momentum killer, IMO.

Agreed. Part of how the defense got so abused was that Louisville's lousy offense kept handing the ball right back to Georgia's offense. Despite what many saw in the UK game and earlier, I've still seen nothing to suggest to me that Tyler Ferguson won't be under center when the Cards take the field against Auburn in eight months.

The O-Line needs a ton of work and is getting some new recruits and a couple talented JuCo guys to start that process. Even when Strong's teams were at their best, offensive lines had serious problems. I'd expect that to change as Petrino keeps changing the personnel there.

Kanell is a gigantic tool. Moron then claimed that the SEC was 2-5 against the ACC & Notre Dame this year (which is wrong), and after being called out on it, just continued to make fun of the SEC.

They'll be replaced by Petrino's guys. The defense will take some steps back and the offense will take some steps up. He's been recruiting anyone and everyone he can get to try and fill out the roster with guys he likes. To my mind, next year is still going to be part of the reorganization process. Year three is when we'll start to know if Louisville's got this right.

I think I read Louisville is on track to have their best recruiting class ever next year...

Early in the year I think many Card fans would have agreed with him.

According to 247Sports, Louisville is 32nd with all 25 commits being 3 stars.

Kentucky is 29th with 13 3 stars and 4 4 stars (not to mention the last 5 or 6 commits to finish out UK's class, whereas Louisville is basically done as 25 commits is usually how many recruits teams take a year)

Add in Damien Harris, Marcus Lewis, and Tavin Richardson for UK, and the class jumps to 21st using the Class Calculator.

Louisville class calculator (you can add recruits to see where class ends up but Louisville's class is basically over): http://louisville.247sports.com/Season/2015-Football/Commits/Preview

Kentucky class calculator (add in 5-7 commits such as Harris, Lewis, and Richardson, plus more, etc.): http://kentucky.247sports.com/Season/2015-Football/Commits/Preview

It might be Louisville's best class with Petrino, but I doubt it is their best class.

That is crazy to think that Charlie never had a class ranked above 30? Is that right?

I think UL's DC might be misinformed... (This was posted 5 minutes ago by Grantham)

@CoachTGrantham: CardNation thanks for all your support last night and whole year! Time to finish up recruiting with the best class in school history!

Why do you think he's wrong?

I'd assume 2011 is Louisville's best ever class. That one included Bridgewater, Gerod Holliman, DeVante Parker, and Eli Rogers. It was the one where Strong capitalized hugely on the ongoing mess at Miami. Don't recall what it was ranked.

TE for UL a senior? Christian?

Yes.

The other guy in Louisville's two tight end sets, Keith Towbridge, is a sophomore. I believe Petrino also has a highly-regarded JuCo guy coming in next year at the position.
