Highest Individual Scoring High School Basketball Games You've Witnessed

Richie's 51 in the state title game...I think that's the most I've seen in person at the high school level.

I vividly remember reading & hearing about Chris Harrison's 73 points vs. Augusta.

This was a prelude to high school, I saw Draud drop 66 against Boys Club in the Turner's Christmas tourney when he was an 8th grader. Probably a couple of the same players that would be on that Holmes team 4 years later when he went for 69.

My dad told me about St Henry's Bucky Steffen scoring 46 in the 1950's. I'll always thought that was a great feat considering the era it done in.

Your son is a great player! Not trying to take away from any of the team a acomplishments with my post. I was trying to give him praise on an awesome individual performance that I'm glad to say I witnessed. Brent was/is one of those special players that doesn't come around often. So I don't think it's a negative on the team to talk about his personal milestones. Again I was not intending to discredit anything the Panthers as a team accomplished as a team in Brent's tenure. :thumb:

Never believed that for an instant. I knew it was positive (as you always are)..........just wanted to put my two cents worth in on the distinction. If we'd of gone 5 and 25 during his tenure, I'd have said the same thing.

I saw that one too.........Harrison was unreal that night. Hit his first shot from the parking lot when he got off the bus I think............

Remember Chris Lofton with somewhere around 50-60 against Pendleton Co. at the Fieldhouse.

I will show my age again. Saw Danny Cornett from Breckenridge Training (Morehead) get 83 or 85 in 1964-65, and saw Ronnie Lyons from Mason Co. get 63 against Bourbon Co. his senior year somewhere around 1969 or 1970(?). Both of these efforts were before the three point shot was introduced which would have upped these bombers totals substantially.

Can't remember if it was his junior or senior year, or who it was against, but I saw Ronnie Dawn drop 50 in a game played at NewCath.

Watched Chris Lofton hang 54 on Pendleton County, 2004 senior night. I think it's still the school record.

Was there when Richie Farmer & Clay County beat Ballard in overtime for the state title in 1987.

Back the next year when Richie got his 51 against Ballard, but with the Bruins winning the rematch. Listening back to the broadcast, forgot the final basket (his 9th 3-pointer of the game) was a goal tend call. And the announcer said his foot was actually on the line for two. Dang; Ballard should have held him to "just" 50. Of course, they won...so I'm sure they didn't care about the rest.

Also saw Manual Forrest's 47 vs. eventual champion Simon Kenton in 1981.

Saw Brent Bach hang 48 or 49 against Mason Co last yr. also watched Austin Crawford hang 44 couple weeks ago on Pendelton Co.

Barry Scott of Holy Cross with 49 against Talbert Turner-led Pendleton County back in '82. .. this before the 3-point shot, of course. I believe this set HC's scoring record at the time.

You mean the wildcats of Pendleton? it is kinda ironic don't ya think? Eithier many people over the years have went to see PC. Or they are just the unlucky team in this thread.

I remember Tollesboro's Chris Harrison going off for about eleventy billion against Augusta back in the day, but I wasn't there.

Well, maybe it was only 73.

The oldsters around here tell me that Ronnie Lyons was a threat as soon as he crossed half-court.
