Who is going to be the best quarterback in the state next year??

Featured Replies

Clay County's young QB really impressed me last year. He threw alot of nice balls. He really needs to work on his decision making though, thats what cost him in the playoffs last year at Ashland.

Ammons will be the best in my opinion, I am not sure if his numbers will be as good as last year due to the loss of some good receivers, we will see what the young receivers and backs at FCHS can do to make their names known and keep their QB on the charts. Look for Jones, Hogan, and Hicks to come up big this year, along with taylor and metcalf to get more involved in the passing game.

Who will be calling signals at St. X? Will it be #11 or will #3 slide in? or somebody else?

I assume that frosh phenom D.J. Hall will be taking over the QB spot next fall.

I'm sure the "phenom" :ylsuper: , who escaped the clutches of the pebbles, will find a spot on the field this fall; but Zoeller will probably start the season at QB for the Tigers, with Anderson also seeing selective spot duty at the helm. :thumb:

Well he may really be a "phenom" but if I remember correctly (and I always do) he was benched in the Trinity game and the kid that subbed for him led the Tiny Tigers to victory. I understand he was very good in his other games though. "Anderson also seeing selective spot duty at the helm", well I've heard this tale before. I saw him in some "spot duty" back in December. Didn't turn out so good. I say pick a guy and go with him, but hey thats just me.

Scott Co. Cody Andrews He might not have the passing yards due to

our style of offense but his ball fakes are something else. He's got Illinois,

Boston College And Middle Tennesee looking at him.

I was just wandering who everybody thinks will be the best quarterback in the state next year. Looking for some good feedback.

I would put Bleser from CCH and Bricking from Dixie as two of the top QB's ! Both have very strong arm's and run a spread type of " O " . That could produce some BIG numbers for both .:thumb:

Obviously, you must not have been paying much attention to the Baby Bengals' defense, as DJ was a major factor against the gravel throughout the game at safety. He is an outstanding athlete and a fine young man, quite capable of being a major contributor to future Tiger success on both sides of the ball. :D

Back on the topic, I think the battle for top QB this fall will be between Ammons, Tandy, Petrino, and Cashen, with Ammons having the lead going into the season.

I am gonna go ahead and say J.J. Hesch from Newport

Duran Jefferson of Holmes will be the best athlete in the state playing qb next year...wont have the best stats in the state, but will definetly be among the state's elite qbs

Not so obvious. Of course I remember that the kid played on D. But we were talking about playing QB. I also remember (I'm sure you would like to forget) that he was not very productive at QB (that day of course). I understand that the young man and his Dad have their sights set on playing QB. Just wondering, but why are the Tigers having to play players both ways?

REally? Jefferson among the elite QB's? Don't stats count? I know he is very athletic but I don't know if I would put him in that category....

He is a great playmaker but can do more damage with his legs and elusiveness than his arm. He makes life on a DB very hard as he can avoid pressure and buy so much time that a CB or S feels like they have been chasing the receiver for days.
