Congrats to every player that made it but can't understand why Simon Kenton's Barry Deaton (LB) and Cooper's Tory Cordell-Armstong (RB) weren't selected as HM members.

I might have missed them but I would add to your two, Watson from Cooper and Winkler from SK.

Still disappointed that 88 solo tackles does not get one on the list somewhere. Still some flaws with the process. But better than previous years.

Not surprising. A player last year who led the state and had among the most in the nation last year got no love in the state for any of these honors. I think he finished in the top 29 in the country last year.

I was almost positive that the CJ All State Team is just voted on by the sports writers, not the coaches? Am I incorrect?

For Reese Ryan not to be in the top 3 at the QB position really makes me wonder what's going on in the voting process. Such a shame

 

1st snub I thought of too. He deserves better. Didn't get to see Laffyette this year but they must have had serious talent. Great to see Kash Daniels get 2nd team. He won't get the credit he'd get in a bigger city but he's a specimen! I look for a Big 10 offer really soon and he's only a Jr. Hope UK gives him a look.

Why should state wide coaches vote for the CJ team? I think that the CJ should stop calling it the All State team like it is the end all, to be all.

If the purpose of it is to be an All State team then why wouldn't they call it an All State team. It's not CJ's fault all of the coaches won't participate. I'm sure all coaches are provided plenty of time to submit a ballot.

I don't understand why they wouldn't. Doesn't seem like it would be a big inconvenience so why not do it?
