You don't think I know what we lost. Trust me when I say what we lost will be replaced and some. Our line next year is going to average 275-300 lbs per. I cannot lay it out for you right here but, out of the line next year, the returner ( Jackson) will by far be the smallest. I expect they will add 30 lbs to him as well.

 

Tell me who these big linemen are? The Nall kid is big but unproven at this point and we do have some with potential but they are not in the 275lb range.

for thirty years. every year, almost, some school has their best team ever, and they can't wait to meet Mayfield. We go deep in the playoffs every single year for decades, so every year we end up playing some school's best team ever. And every single time they think they are something special, or something we haven't seen before.

 

heck, we might get beat by them, but we win our fair share. I say our fair share because we have worked for these wins for decades, building our program year by year. so our fair share is the lions share.

 

Desales might get us next year. I doubt it, but if they make it, i would expect a good game. Here is what i do know; they will probably be like most of the others, good for a couple years, then back into the middle of the pack, while we will be rolling on for another couple decades.

I didn't want to reveal that TP. I can handle sportsfan doubting me. He has the past 2 years and my knowledge has proven correct both years. He just hasn't figured out how I get all this info yet.

 

Devon Jeffries I think will also make it into the mix next year and maybe Giron. They both are close to 200 plus now. Give them another year of extra table scraps and pushing the weights and we will see. Jackson played a lot this year and was lean, I suspect he will only get bigger. And surely anyone else we get will be bigger that the Dunn boys. So there you go. Besides that, I'm sure with what talent our crosstown boys don't have this year, there will be some defectors.

 

Now to your point about Kel, that is definitely tough to replace. As far as Kendall yes he was great but mostly as a defensive lineman. I do think we can replace the offensive side. I had figured 23 as being the most likely to be like him or your son on the defensive side but, he wants to be a buzzard.

 

However that being said, I'm not as worried on the defensive side because of returning about 8 of the 11 starters plus some key extras.

Hey, I agree with you! Not only would you have beaten them this year, I don't see them beating you next year. Your offense will pluck the feathers off of the cardinals!

 

The good thing is we will know in November and there won't be any need for speculation after that.

Kettle to pot, read your post #54. Over the last 40 years we have heard this same talk from people like you, its nothing new and your no different. We will get our fair share of the trophies in AA. I love the nonbelievers, just like many of the Bw fans in the beginning, but you won't hear them singing that song anymore.

 

It was a response to your post #52. No one said you wouldn't get any trophies. Keep manufacturing that. All I said, and will continue to say is, you think your going to roll in, and dominate. I'm saying it ain't going to happen. Your going to find that 2A is going to be a little tougher than 1A.

I will go with this list for the top ten teams of the small schools.

#1 - DeSales - No doubt here. Probably the most impressive team in the state this year.

#2 - Mayfield - Very good team. Not as explosive as in past three years, but nevertheless super strong.

#3 - Caldwell Co - explosive offense. Somewhat weak defense that was exposed by Mayfield in last week of regular season. Injury ended season.

#4 - Murray - Surprised many of the people in the east. Very strong team with plenty of bulk on both sides of the ball. Just came a little short of a state title in 2A.

#5 - CAL - had an awesome year. Ran into the buzzsaw we know as DeSales in the playoffs. GREAT SEASON

#6 - Belfry - Super run through the playoffs. Strong team in 3A. Just that 3A was down this year.

#7 through #10- Could be many teams. Big grouping here. My top 4 candidates would be S Warren, Central, Corbin, and Beechwood.
