December 12, 201411 yr I've been two times (once in Indy, once in South Carolina). I thought they had good bar food. Solid wings, fries, etc.
December 12, 201411 yr Don't let the full lot, and the lot behind it being full stop you from going in, both lots were full and there was still plenty of room inside. My food came within 10 mins. That's a large building. One of the main reasons Italiani's closed it's doors. The owner opened up the much smaller Pack House.
December 12, 201411 yr I went once the the Tilted Kilt location in Columbus. Had a meatloaf sandwhich was was actually really good. If I recall pretty good special on Sam Adams Summer Ale as well.

No offense, but it's tough to seriously consider culinary recommendations from a Miller Lite Ice Guy.:lol2:
December 12, 201411 yr Hooters sucks. The one on the river is 0 for 2 with food and chicks. Been to tilted kilt in Indy area, chicks and food good! Keep in mind folks, lots of these places bring in the top talent for the first month or two to train and to get a reputation.
December 12, 201411 yr No offense, but it's tough to seriously consider culinary recommendations from a Miller Lite Ice Guy.:lol2: There was a back story to that posted on her some time ago, but bottom line is that at the time I was a few months out of college with a first real job making peanuts, on a week long bachelor party at Panama City Beach. Did I mention I could get 4 cases for $20.00. It was a bad decision the results of which lasted longer than the beer. I've not drank it again, and I'm really not sure if the product still exists.

Good story.:thumb: And one thing I've learned in my nearly six decades is that many times you get what you pay for.
December 12, 201411 yr Good story.:thumb: And one thing I've learned in my nearly six decades is that many times you get what you pay for. That's is certainally something that I did learn over the years, but at that point in my life, it was all about obtaining maximum drunkeness for minimal cash. Had I factored in the cost of Charmin, I would have likely gone ahead and bought some Bud Light. (Not that Bud Light is a great beer, however at the time it was a luxury.)
December 12, 201411 yr I get their parmesan and garlic wings to go. Rarely are the Hooters girls what is being sold to us. This. I've been to several Hooters in 4 or 5 states, and the "atmosphere" has been lacking, to say the least. And it's been like this for quite some time. There is another chain called "Show Me's" that has a similar theme. Dropped in on the one one Colerain Avenue in Cincy a year or so ago. Very talented wait staff there. Don't remember much about the food.
December 12, 201411 yr I don't know about the food but I got a message today from a buddy suggesting no one go there. I've never been to one but when we went up to Indy for a weekend, everyone we talked too said to not waste your time at their Tilted Kilt.

Don't remember much about the food. Been to a Show Me's in Terre Haute, Indiana. Definitely enjoyed that place.
December 12, 201411 yr There's a Tilted Kilt in Atlanta about a half mile from the hotel that we stay at when I'm down there for work. We've been going there for the last 5 years or so. They have a nice beer selection and the food is better than average pub food. They also have a live trivia night and a lot of televisions. They get all the big boxing matches/MMA events and don't charge a cover for them as well. Being in Atlanta there's a lot of talent to choose from so the scenery is very nice as well.
December 12, 201411 yr I've been to the one in Clearwater many times. It is right across from Bright House Field, where the Clearwater Threshers (Phlllies MiLB affiliate) play. Love the Irish Nachos. They closed the one in Tampa.

Not sure how I was supposed to feel when oodling over the pics.

Not sure how I was supposed to feel when oodling over the pics. A pregnant bikini contest isn't exactly my cup of tea either. I was only in there once, and I had no clue what the place was all about (I hadn't heard of it either) when I went in with my golf buddies. I can't speak for the help at the place right now, but when I was there, it was a solid "A", and no Hooter's in the area was even playing in the same ballpark.
