Can he play 3B or LF? It looks like he can swing the bat.

 

I like his BB/K numbers for a young guy. He didn't have great numbers throwing out base stealers but that could be a product of working with young pitchers. He's listed as 6'3" 210 lbs so his build would suggest he could learn to play another position.

Descantspellhisname will probably end up as an ok arm in the pen. Wallach isn't very good. For a 2/3 pitcher. I'll take it all day long.

 

 

He hit .322 with a .431 OBP at 2 levels of A ball last year. He made the Sally League All-Star team. I'd think it would be a little bit early to say he's not very good.

Latos and his elbow seemed to be a big concern. I think the Reds had some deals in place or at least in the process that were derailed because of his health.

 

I was expecting a bigger return, but my guess is the Reds were getting the best they could for a guy who is trending toward TJ in the next year or two.
