I missed my window of opportunity yesterday to get the lights outside as we were occupied with getting the college girl back to school. So now we sit with the only house unlit.

So now we sit with the only house unlit. Temperatures are supposed to head back into the 50s again this weekend. So long as the rain holds off, it'll be decent light-hanging weather.

[video=youtube;FR-oUzimkLI] It's not really advent until I've heard a choir sing this song. Love this one. Was one of my favorites back in grade school at St. Aloysius. It used to give me goose bumps (still does) and I was always thrilled when we entered the season to sing it. Love its exotic melody, and really felt that we were getting into some real ancient stuff when we had the opportunity to sing it in church.
December 2, 201411 yr The season officially kicked off last night when the family viewed Christmas Vacation for the first time this year.
December 2, 201411 yr I have a girl that used to work for me that is a single mother that my wife and I continue to help when we can. Her son won't be getting much for Christmas because she really can't afford it,,,,,,,,but I know something he doesn't know, and that has me absolutely giddy about Christmas even though I won't be there to see it first hand.
