December 29, 201411 yr So now I start to rearrange and put away. Nativity stays up until the 12th--the Baptism of our Lord. Lights stay up at least until Jan 6th. (Both inside and out) Tree stays up until Jan 6th. But I did take off the ornaments and enjoying just a festive, uncluttered tree. Anything with Santas and stockings are gone, as the gift giving part is over. Snowmen now come out and will stay out until the end of January.
December 29, 201411 yr I have to have things put away before my baby girl turns 18 on January 5. :scared:

December 30, 201411 yr Author :thumb: I have too much. Need to get rid of stuff. When I was a kid, the stuff in my parents' house always came down on January 1. Now that we're all grown and out of the house, my mom and dad start taking it down the day after Christmas. The tree will stay until January 1 and they'll leave their nativity scene out until the Feast of the Purification on February 2.
January 5, 201511 yr Author It's officially the twelfth day of Christmas, everybody. That'll do it for another year. I'll pack everything up tonight. Hope you all had a great Christmas season. Tomorrow is the Feast of the Epiphany (under the old Roman calendar anyway) so we'll leave off this thread appropriately: "Glorious now behold Him arise: King, and God, and Sacrifice. Heav'n sings 'Alleluia!'. 'Alleluia!' Earth replies."
January 5, 201511 yr Kids have all gone back to school or home so we're starting to pack it up this week. Luckily we no longer put anything outside, just candles and wreaths in the windows.
