December 15, 201411 yr Same here. Remember his Christmas show each year? He'd always have the bear come to his door and he'd give him cookies lol
December 15, 201411 yr I was in the mood for some Christmas music this afternoon in the office. The "Perry Como (Holiday)" station on Pandora is a pretty solid playlist for my taste in Christmas music....or as Getslow likes to call it, "A Baby Boomer Christmas".
December 16, 201411 yr Author I was in the mood for some Christmas music this afternoon in the office. The "Perry Como (Holiday)" station on Pandora is a pretty solid playlist for my taste in Christmas music....or as Getslow likes to call it, "A Baby Boomer Christmas". Hey, it's whatever you like. I've been pretty far gone this year in "A Cambridge Chorister's 19th-Century Christmastide"...
December 16, 201411 yr Sigh. Another year of nativity scenes with Baby Jesus already in the manger. :angrybird1:
December 16, 201411 yr It's the third year in a row that they've won. The choir director' date=' Jim Wolfe, has done a FANTASTIC job with the chamber choir at Cov Cath.[/quote'] Proud member of Covington Catholic's first Chamber Choir over here (at least it was the 1st 'big' chamber choir). For years and years the CCH chorus was made up of about 4 guys. Then one year it ballooned to over 60 kids, many of which were completely musically inept. As a result, a 'chamber choir' formed for those kids that were musically inclined and/or took it very seriously.
December 17, 201411 yr Perspective is a beautiful thing and setting a good example for honoring the "Christ" in Christmas is even more beautiful... Enjoy: He Asked 13 Homeless People What They Wanted For Christmas. Their Answers Made Me Feel Shallow.
December 19, 201411 yr All my children are home--nestled snug in their beds , with the flu flying around and all over their heads. :(
December 19, 201411 yr All my children are home--nestled snug in their beds , with the flu flying around and all over their heads. :( That stinks! Hope you have a mask and gloves or you'll be the next one sick! Get well soon, Hoops family.
December 19, 201411 yr Author I know it's from last year and I posted it last year as well, but I like it so I'm posting it again. It's from Christmas on Campus, an even held every year at the University of Dayton on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Lots of local kids take buses in from places around the city and are paired with a student who buys their kid a gift and takes them to numerous events around campus. It's an event that's very dear to me at a place that's even dearer. All the alumni associations around the country have a mirror event called Christmas Off Campus each year. Ours here in Louisville is Sunday. If I get a chance to snap a few photos, I'll post some here. I'm the local chapter president so I feel like I have the authority to say: From me, from the University of Dayton, and from UD's 100,000 alumni all around the world, Merry Christmas to you and yours.

December 22, 201411 yr Going to try to get a chunk of the wrapping done right now. These dang teenagers are up late watching TV or doing their IPHONE trivia crack. You want it all to be a surprise but they don't make it easy. Let's see how far I get by 2am.
