I was in the mood for some Christmas music this afternoon in the office. The "Perry Como (Holiday)" station on Pandora is a pretty solid playlist for my taste in Christmas music....or as Getslow likes to call it, "A Baby Boomer Christmas".

Sigh. Another year of nativity scenes with Baby Jesus already in the manger. :angrybird1:

Proud member of Covington Catholic's first Chamber Choir over here (at least it was the 1st 'big' chamber choir).

 

For years and years the CCH chorus was made up of about 4 guys. Then one year it ballooned to over 60 kids, many of which were completely musically inept. As a result, a 'chamber choir' formed for those kids that were musically inclined and/or took it very seriously.

Perspective is a beautiful thing and setting a good example for honoring the "Christ" in Christmas is even more beautiful...

I know it's from last year and I posted it last year as well, but I like it so I'm posting it again. It's from Christmas on Campus, an even held every year at the University of Dayton on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Lots of local kids take buses in from places around the city and are paired with a student who buys their kid a gift and takes them to numerous events around campus. It's an event that's very dear to me at a place that's even dearer.

 

All the alumni associations around the country have a mirror event called Christmas Off Campus each year. Ours here in Louisville is Sunday. If I get a chance to snap a few photos, I'll post some here.

 

I'm the local chapter president so I feel like I have the authority to say:

Going to try to get a chunk of the wrapping done right now. These dang teenagers are up late watching TV or doing their IPHONE trivia crack. :no:
