I agree. I don't know Hoge's numbers for the season but I believe Sindelar's are better although the competition wasn't as good imo. With that said I don't think the powers that be who vote on this award really look that much at compeition as much as name recognition from the beginning of the season and I think Elijah wins because of that. I think Sindelar has something like 46 TD's and only 3 Int's with over 3000 passing yards this year. I think it would be tough to beat him out.

I saw what Hoge can do with his legs this season. I knew he could spin that football but his legs and ability to buy time has made him tough to stop at a high school level. I love quarterbacks that know when to run, he's got that instinct that you just can't teach.

I agree 110% again with what you said, but we know they don't do that at all, if not then there would have been other winners in the past few years other than the ones touted at the beginning of the season.

I agree, one year starters at a position start from a tough position in having to make up ground. Don't think it usually happens.

From the outside looking in, every year it seems HHS waits until the CCH game to turn the qb loose and let them run the ball. If that is or not the strategy, maybe it should be, I mean it kind of gives everything else time to develop, saves qb from taking a lot of hits, and CCH doesn't have film of it.

That is what Mr. Football is all about in my opinion. At a minimum, your team should at least make the semi-final round. I would be curious to see someone post the stats of each player that they feel is a candidate for Mr. Football on a game by game basis for 2014, since that is the year in which the award is being given for.

Same thing. I disagree. There should be no minimum requirement.

It's also impossible to please everyone with this award. I would like to know what most people would use personally when making their vote. Personally if I had a vote I would consider these things.
