I think Beau is very deserving and capable of winning this award but I believe you have to be nominated for it first and that is a battle in its self...:thumb:

If Harris had played in at least 8 games he'd have gotten my vote. Harris is easily the best football player in the state and what he did for Madison Southern is something I don't think any other player up for the award would have been able to do.

Hoge is going to BYU, not Air Force. He has had a great year and I said early on he is the most valuable player in the state, meaning that HHS would not be where they are without him. I have not seen some of the others being mentioned play so I cannot say whether he should be Mr. Football. You could not go wrong with him...I will say that.

 

I agree. You cannot go wrong with Hoge winning Mr. Football. He is very deserving.

Per KHSAA website he played in 7 games of the 11 they played. They also went 6-5 against pretty weak competition. I realize he is the top recruit in Kentucky, but that does not necessarily anoint you as the best football player THIS YEAR.

Damian Harris. Discussion begins and ends there. Sorry to everyone else, but I don't think it's really close at all. Not saying that there aren't good players, just that this is one of those years where some guys who might have won the award had they came along at a different time will just be out of luck.

I checked with two guys who are in NKY. They do not get to nominate and no one from the AP has contacted them for input as to who should be nominated from NKY.

Isn't that what happened to you Sweep back in the day. Commited out of state and got passed over despite leading the Birds to the state title.
