Highlands let their guard down last yr and did not prepare themselves thoroughly for Collins and they got beat. Last yrs lost is on the minds of alot of players and coaches and this yr will be different. :thumb:

 

The edge might have fizzled last yr but the Birds understand that they have to bring their A Game every game, for cryin out loud especially for the State Championship game...

I can't say for certain, but I would guess the 47-0 defeat of Collins in 2012 had a hand in it. I think they found themselves surprised at being challenged and almost recovered, but not quite.

I hear what you are sayin but it happenes all the time in sports, Highlands underestimated their opponent and paid the ultimate price.

And yes the final score indicated that Collins was the better team last yr.

Collins was the better team. Some just have to justify it by saying Highlands overlooked Collins, because they can't stomach the thought that someone was actually better, for once in a long time.

I would say that thought is common any time a team loses on a last second play. Don't know of many who would not think their team was the better team given the same circumstances. My guess is there are a lot of people who think North O was the better team than Oboro. Bottom line is that last year nor last week matter. Owensboro plays Highlands this week. That's what counts.

If Owensboro has no more then 1 TO this will be a game. More then that it'll be a route. Owensboro's offense has moved the ball on everybody. But TO's have stalled quite a few drives this season.

The LT is 290, and he used to play LG and we had a 6-6 300 LT also, but he plays more on defense now. Owensboro has a nice Offensive line

I know a lot of schools (over)estimate players size, but these young men look to be every bit that big.

 

They come off the ball nice as well. Reset the line of scrimmage downfield and those little backs get lost behind them. I can see why they have success running the ball.
