It will be awfully hard for a Triple Option team to beat Highlands. It could be done, but Owensboro will have to limit Turnovers and have long sustained TD drives to keep the ball out of Hoge's hands.

 

I think Highlands wins number 7 in the last 8 years.

It could knock the Birds off their routine and regular schedule and they could be a little sluggish out of the gate...

They have been sluggish several times this season. The ones of the top of my head are the Columbus game, Lex Cath had a long opening drive for a TD. The Elder game. They won one game and lost two. The Columbus game they were down 21 at the half, and lost 37-34.Birds have been "lights out in the second half. I'm not concerned. Go Birds!!

Shoot thats right...now looking back and thinking about it we already had one road trip down there this yr:thumb:

And that was the most complete game they played all year. Remember driving by stadium and saying we will be back in five weeks and what do ya know?

Hopefully Highlands got their A+++ game in BG out of the way already to WC.

Will the game be televised?

I believe halftime of this game the 64' and 89' team are going to be honored for the 50th and 25th anniversary state championship season.
