I have said all year that Owensboro based on what they had returning was one of the top 2 teams in the state. I feel that if they limit their TO'S to 2 then they will give the birds all they want. I am going with Owensboro 36-35.

Owensboro has a scrappy defense - I think if they can get a couple Highlands turnovers it will set up real nicely. Owensboro will be looking to make some plays opn defense which include stripping the ball and trying to get some INT's which I think they've done well so far. Owensboro knows KY teams have been close to Highlands in campbell, bryan station, ashland and covcath. NO prediction from me though.

 

My 1 disagreement is the 2 turnover comment - they must play mistake free, or at worst win the TO battle to be in the game.

Yeah I also like Boyle and also like highlands. You forget they were also top 3 and crown of 4A football. I made my pick and if I lose, it will not be the first time nor the last.

Leaving for BG in a couple hours. Looks like the rain will clear out tomorrow late morning so should have a great back and forth game. Can't wait!

Owensboro's offense will have to win this game by winning on 1st down. If they get into 2nd and 6 or less consistently they'll be in business. Owensboro's defense has not been that good this year IMO. They have stood up at times but they haven't been what I would call stout. I'll be in Bowling Green for this one. Hoping for an instant classic!
