If you took the top 2 from each district Trinity wouldn't make the playoffs this year.

You wouldn't have gotten that w/ 4 Class System either

 

I think a 3 class system is right for the state of Kentucky.

 

That would mean 70 schools in each class. 70 is less than other states.

Just because I have only been a member for 3 months doesn't mean I haven't been reading these threads for years.

 

But, in those 3 months there have been countless threads with different titles that all end up talking about the same subject. They may not start that way, or be intended to go there.............but usually do. So yes, in the last 3 months the amount of teams in the playoffs has been beaten like a red headed step child!

I said he may be right. And I will say you are absolutely right.....people are going to complain no matter how many classes there are.

I was just poking a little fun your way....did not mean to offend. It has been a topic that is like the energizer bunny. It just keeps going and going.

6 classes is ridiculous.

There are teams that have to beat zero competition to make the finals.

I would like to see the classes reduced but you can't argue with the success this year.

And for everyone, you should come to WKY and take in some games, it is an awesome venue for football and the weather should be decent.

A sure sign you have too many classes is when a team with ONE win makes the playoffs. That should NEVER happen

That happened in the old 4A system too. I think even then you had teams go 0-10 and make it in. It's not something new for the 6 classes.

Maybe. But who is hurt by 6 classes? Which of the 12 teams don't deserve an opportunity to play for a title?? In the end you're talking about 4 extra teams in the finals, and two extra games. Cutting it to 4 classes probably doesn't prevent any of the champs in the 6 class system from making the finals, doesn't save any time, make the season any shorter, or make any of the top 5 or 6 teams any more special.

 

Using that logic, we should have 10 classes...or 15...
