November 30, 201411 yr Bring in Donnie walker!!! He knows the system inside/out and is a great playcaller. So, why not? Works for me.
December 1, 201411 yr Interesting that Chris Hatcher was on the field at the UK/UL game Saturday. He seems to have a big supporter in Tim Couch.
December 1, 201411 yr I'd like to keep the good half of 2014 NB . I'd like to drown the bad half of 2014 NB . UT-Martin Ohio Vandy Louisana-Monroe Average South Carolina Below Average Florida ...had a little to do with that. The back half, well, enough said. Things looked good the first half of the year because they played people not as good as them or of equal talent. All that was (like it is the majority of the case at all levels). Differences in play makers.

December 1, 201411 yr I think the new OC will come from ECU or Cinci. Curious if gametime has heard any rumblings about the Cinci oc. The rumor I'm hearing is that its him and he's bringing another assistant with him.

December 1, 201411 yr Anybody else think Neal leaving is a bad sign? Two reasons, and somebody else mentioned this first one in another thread (and, I've been telling people this all day at work): 1) Does Stoops really want to run the Air Raid? Personally, I don't think so. 2) I think Neal might have seen this as the best time to get out. Maybe he thought the ceiling was getting shorter as far as where UK could go? Went from 2 wins to 5....went from around 150 in offensive production to in the 80's. Maybe he thought that this past year, contrary to what most fans think, was the hottest the iron was going to get for a while? Just a thought (s).
December 1, 201411 yr If Stoops pulls James Coley from Miami like he originally wanted then I think you have to say he really didn't want the air-raid.
December 1, 201411 yr The lack of aggression in Neals play calling compared to Texas Tech tells me he doesn't want the air-raid.
December 1, 201411 yr The lack of aggression in Neals play calling compared to Texas Tech tells me he doesn't want the air-raid. I agree with this. I think Neal was an easy hire due to his connections in the state, the success he had and the way KY loved the Air Raid. Also, Bob Stoops had a lot of success with Leach early at Oklahoma. Hiring the KY guys paid off in recruiting.

Personally I think he left to further his coaching resume. Who wouldn't want to go from an OC to a HC job? Especially when the fan base at the school you're the OC for isn't happy with what you've done while there?

The logic behind some of the reasons people are giving makes little sense.
