Could Kentucky Beat the 76ers? NBA 2K15 Gives Us A Look

Featured Replies

If the twins didn't return to UK, they would both be playing in the NBA right now.

I think you mean they would be on a team.

Luc Mbah a Moute and a Russian (no one has ever heard of) are the only players 25 or older. Every other player is a 1st or 2nd year player. The only one that could start for another team is Michael Carter Williams.

Tony Wroten would also. He's having a better season than MCW.

They could.

Noel over WCS? Flip a coin.

The twins would both be in the league this year.

Poythess would be, too. There isn't one player on the Sixers more physically gifted or as physical as him.

The one thing you always hear is "all of the guys on an NBA team are pros"...well, so are Kentucky's.

And there is not one person on this site who is a more unbiased UK baskbasketball fan than me. Win or lose...their outcomes effect me none.

Not possible. The Sixers would win 10 out of 10.

Some of y'all need to just stick with college ball. :lol2:

Yeah, you're right there. Both could start for a lot of teams.

No, he's saying they would be on a team and they would be playing a lot of minutes too. And he's right. The NBA and college basketball are both watered down products compared to what they use to be... Because the stupid one and done rule. Even though the twins are going the two and done route... If they and Poytress had gone to the NBA last year, they definitely would be playing a lot in the NBA this season... No question about that.

That doesn't mean this UK team could beat an NBA team, but it's full of NBA talent that will be there shortly. There are players in the NBA that aren't as talented as some of these Kentucky players. Watch the draft this year and you'll see. Many of them will go high.

Just because they'd start for the Lakers doesn't mean they'd start on a bunch of NBA teams :D.

Nobody said a bunch. They said another team. Tony Wroten would start for the Timberwolves too. :D

We'll just have to agree to disagree. If the Twins were good enough to go pro and get playing time they'd have left last year and not came back.

Agreed

It would take a near perfect game for UK to come close.

White platoon would get dismantled

Fair enough. I still contend that the NBA is watered down with expansion and numerous players that are not fully developed because they almost all leave school too early. Can't blame them though, the money is too enticing.

Yep.

Look, the 76ers are dreadful. I get that. But people also have an inflated view of how good of a pro someone in college will be. We are talking TODAY. The most polished pro coming out last season was Jabari Parker and he's not even cracking 12 ppg. He was more polished at this time last season to play at the NBA level than anyone on UK's team. And since that time Parker completed a year of school, played NBA summer league, and has practiced a couple months with the pros. Forgive me for thinking KAT would not jump in and drop 15 and 8 against pro competition (albeit terrible) when he's looked lost as an Easter Egg at times.

I don't agree with it being watered down. At the same time even if it is it is still a whole different level of basketball that even the bext college basketball players take time to adjust to.

Way watered down...and so is college basketball. You take the great UCLA teams. None of those players could even play college as freshman because of the rules. Then they played 3 varsity basketball years before going pro.

College basketball had better and more experienced players... And they were more mature and ready for the NBA when they got there. There is no one at the level of Magic and Bird in college ball, because they will leave after one year... Likewise, it takes them longer to develop in the pros.

I think both college and pro are much weaker as a whole than they use to be...
