No Indictment in Ferguson Case

That indicates there was clearly a struggle at the cruiser.

Doesn't justify the shots farther away.

Don't they have multiple witnesses saying he was charging at the officer? Charging at the officer after he already had a struggle with him and was shot in the thumb. Didn't the evidence say the 1st shot outside the cruiser was at a further distance than the fatal shot?

Just said on CNN that according to the testimony and evidence, fatal shots were at 8-10 feet away.

I haven't found that yet.

They were reading the witness testimony on Fox last night after it was all released and it said he charged the officer twice and he was finally put down when only 10 feet away from the officer. Remember someone charging you at only 10 feet away can reach you in a second. It wasn't as if he was 100 feet away.

This is an extremely important bit of information, IMO.

I think they said last night that there was something like 8 to 15 feet between them with Brown coming at him when the shots were fired.

They said that Wilson testified that Brown was running or charging at him when he shot him.

Media has either through ignorance or intentionally not mentioned that Wilson wasn't by his car when the fatal shots were fired either. They just kept bringing up that Brown was 100 feet or so away making it seem as if he shot him from 100+ feet away when according to the evidence and testimony that wasn't correct.

Okay, so say the fatal shot was at 10ft... How far away was Brown when Wilson started shooting at him the second time?

He doesn't have to have been by his car... But I want to know how far away Brown was when he STARTED shooting at him outside the cruiser.

To me it doesn't matter. If Brown was charging the officer then the officer has every right to start shooting knowing that when he was in close contact he was trying to kill the officer..

Agree to disagree then, because it absolutely matters to me.

I don't know, Wilson was following him telling him to stop and he turned and ran towards him. I don't know the exact distance but it wasn't close to 30 yards as was portrayed in the media over and over.

Remember Wilson was following him to take him into custody, he wasn't standing watching him just walk away according to what the Prosecutor said.

My guess and it is a guess just based on what we have saw so far is that Brown was 20-30 feet away when he started coming at Wilson and that's when Wilson started shooting.

Is there a distance that you think is too far, you keep looking for this answer as to how far. It seems as if there is a point you are wanting to make. At what distance do you think he should not have shot?

Even if Wilson was following Brown, it's possible that he wasn't gaining any ground on him.

30 feet away, in my opinion, is too far away to start shooting at someone you've already shot twice.

I don't have a specific number per say, but the distance matters.

10 feet is way too close. If he was truly charging then it's fair to shoot. No question.

I do struggle with the picture of him having been shot in the car, running away, deciding to turn and charge him, getting shot again a couple of times , and then deciding to continue charging. If he was on PCP it would make more sense.

The whole narrative of being close to the car came about based on the comments made by the chief. I don't think many media members have said anything about distance one way or the other.

A YouTube search for Fox News McDonald's is pretty solid.
