I have access to HUDL and have watched Beechwood. The Defense is good not great. They Must pass and pass alot to win. The difference in this game will be the adjustments Mayfields superior coaching staff will make to counter Beechwood.

 

Like I said I take Mayfield in this one. I think the Beechwood hype is mostly folks willing it to happen through hopeful posts. Hoping the positive posts will make it so.

 

Difference is Mayfield will come to Beechwood knowing they can win... Beechwood will be wondering IF they can win given all the history. That combined with coaching superiority will be enough for the Mayfield edge.

 

It makes me laugh at how cocky some of you Mayfield fans are. Yes they should be the fav but their not the New England Patriots. Geez!!! Their not unbeatable!!!

The cockiness of these Mayfield fans are amusing. I agree, they deserve to be the favorite, but are not strides ahead of Beechwood like they make it seem. I'm going to keep my mouth shut, and run it after we run them back to the bus! Good Luck!

Kyle Fieger is the best QB in 1a. Threw for 350 and 5 tds vs Mt Healthy, after watching film the Owls are significantly better that MF, and more athletic. They just lost, but they lost to the best foitball team in Ohio at any class. They've not needed him to take over a game. I'm sure the superior MF coaching staff knows that, but hopefully they think the same way you do.

I know that Mt Healthy is a good team they were hardly the best team in Ohio, they just lost to LaSalle 38-6.

 

Beechwood is very capable of winning this game but for them to win they are going to have to effective in their passing game. Beechwood is hardnosed and well coached.

 

Mayfield can win this game by their solid defense and their passing game which will open up their running game. Mayfield is also hardnosed and well coached.

 

I could see either team winning this by 14 to 21 if things go their way but if both teams play up their capabilities then I still will go with Mayfield. Beechwood has the home field which counts for something. This will be a hard fought game.

I agree. LaSalle's dominant win over Mt. Healthy doesn't say anything about the Owls being a bad team in any way. The Lancers are just that good. The scary thing is that they are young at the majority of their skill positions.

Yeah....I don't think Mayfield will have a foe quite like this. It's not just this game but most of the time it's during the season...both groups taking little jabs here and there and then a hotly contested matchup.
