Is Kentucky really this good? Or is Kansas really just that bad?

Featured Replies

Let's be honest, if Kansas hit maybe 10 of those 3 pointers they missed..or maybe 10 free throws they missed also.....

This game could have been a lot closer.

I think Kentucky got Kansas on a really really really bad night. Everything was going wrong with them.

If a team with small guards, that can penetrate and hit the 3's and hit their free throws is on one night...Kentucky will run into a problem.

I'm really questioning, is Kentucky (The same team that trailed Buffalo 38-33 at halftime AT RUPP) really this good as they played last night?

I think GT nailed it. Kansas had the Eli Manning "Who Farted" look after about the first 15 minutes of the game. That won't happen in March.

UK should walk away with the National Championship this year if we go by Ram's philosophy. Until other teams start to play at least 2 units, regardless if there is any difference in talent, they won't be able to beat Kentucky.

Yes UK is that good! As was mentioned, Kansas may be a little overrated at this point, but UK deserves a bit of credit for causing Kansas to play the way they did. As was stated, about 15 mins into the game Kansas just had that look. They knew that at times UK was just toying with then, such as WCS, and they knew I matter what they did, UK would either stop them and or pick it up a notch.

Of course we will have times where UK plays down to the competition. I'm sure we will get a good handle on what this team will be after the UL game.

I basically agree with what Ram says regarding platooning but that is HILARIOUS LRCW:)!!!!!

Really..playing 2 platoons is kind of like you have to play 2 on 1.

It wasnt Kansas vs. Kentucky

It was Kansas vs. Kentucky 1 / Kentucky 2

Two teams vs. One team....is hard

Same here. :lol2: :lol2:

Hammertime said my thoughts in the game thread.

Kansas is overrated.

At this point in the season that's all we can and should take away from this game IMO.

Agree. Plenty of really good early season games on UK's schedule for everyone to know exactly where they are. 3 more top ten teams before the end of the calendar year.

What happens when KY shoots better than 43% from the field, 61% on FT's and better than 33% on 3's. I think something that keeps getting lost in all of this is the fact that they really did not play that well on the offensive end last night.

They are that good. The scary part is I agree with Jay Bilas. Their offense did not look good. So in my opinion, they get much better as the season goes on. Yes other teams will "right the ship" and improve, but people tend to forget those KY freshman will also develop into college players by March as well. KY isn't going to remain stagnant...they will get better too and I think it will be on offense.

Agreed.

My favorite quote was "This is kind of like playing frisbee in the Redwood Forest"

I think Booker is going to be much more relaxed and improved in the future, and provide a lot of their outside scoring threat. He has a beautiful shot, and I could see him really going off in a some games.
