So what was the result?

On TV this morning they were saying it would be Sunday probably before it was released.

President Obama met with Ferguson protest leaders on November 5th, the day after the midterm elections. The meeting was not on his daily schedule. He was concerned that the protesters “stay on course.”

According to the Rev. Al Sharpton, who has appeared frequently in St. Louis with the Brown family and delivered a speech at Mr. Brown’s funeral, Mr. Obama “was concerned about Ferguson staying on course in terms of pursuing what it was that he knew we were advocating.

Great editing on your part. :lol2:

Here is the whole quote with the last sentence.

He said he hopes that we’re doing all we can to keep peace.”

Like the Martin incident, I find it sickening people exploit the situation for their own gain. It is disturbing people are being bussed in with training on how to protest. If it is true protesting, God bless those people. But let's be honest, a big chunk of these people are being brought in to incite and get their 15 seconds of fame by capturing a cell phone video.

My question is, why bring in the National Guard? If people want to kick, scream, loot, burn down the town, etc. let them. All hell may erupt in Ferguson, let us pray it does not. Secure a perimeter and let people get after one another and the community. Obviously, I realize you have to protect people and businesses so this is not realistic.

I'm trying to land a job with msnbc or CBS

But regardless Obama wants the protest to continue. And we know it won't be peaceful.

They better prepare for riots, because there won't be an indictment...

My thoughts exactly.

I pray for the innocents who will be affected. There will be property damaged and people hurt, many of whom may very well support the protestors and Brown family.

Yeah but he isn't advocating violent protests like your post suggests either.

Agreed! But as has been mentioned, and we all know this, there will be punks within the peaceful protesters who only want to use the tragedy as an excuse to cause havoc, start fires, loot, go out and beat people. Thus the damage they cause will end up being millions to get the place back to looking the way it was before, but this time businesses won't come back. Some small business won't be able to restart, or they will say the hell with Ferguson and open elsewhere, which will create Ferguson to fall even more.

I hope that the Guard protects all businesses and residences, and I know this is wishful thinking, but anyone who breaks into a business or whatever, they get shot on the spot.

For whatever reason, most news outlets were saying yesterday that they expected to hear the decision today. Today, however, the most common answer about when to expect the decision is "mid-to-late November". News reporting at its best.

I have wondered if they are trying to delay it until the Holidays approach to minimize the backlash. Not to mention protesting sucks the colder it gets outside.

You may well be right about that.

I heard a discussion and they thought it would be moved to after Thanksgiving.
