I can understand protesting in solidarity. Violence and vandalism, obviously, is absolutely unacceptable, but I have no problem with protesting to show your support.

I don't see how protests hundreds and thousands of miles away from a situation helps. If it did, I would protest the senseless killings that go on daily in places like Chicago, NY, LA, etc. Then again, it wouldn't be "media friendly" to protest those.

I'd love to know what exactly they expect to get out of the protest other than feeding into Al Sharpton and the likes ego's! And again, if there is any violence or rioting then Al Sharpton should be arrested for inciting a riot.

Yep, blacks killing blacks isn't "Sexy enough" for the media to cover...it is a shame. Citizens in Chicago, Detroit and pretty much ever other large city have protested and complained about this ongoing problem in their community but for the most part the national media turns their collective backs on their protest, complaints and concerns.
