Did Trinity's Coach Beatty Really Say.............

Featured Replies

You are correct with which coach Wakefield is. I would not be surprised if Wakefield did what is accused of him, and not surprised about Beatty.
Once again, you are clueless about the people involved. The Beatty "quote" is being attributed to a friend of a newbie poster.

It would seem that quite a few people care.

You are basing this on hearsay posted by a newbie with 43 posts??????????

What did Beatty say?

What did the Male coaches say?

Instead of throwing stones how about putting the truth out there.

Now for the rest of the story! This explanation comes from a player. COACH WOLFE IS NOT PART OF THIS STORY!

This goes back to game one versus Male. After the Male victory Mr. Wakefield was doing a little dance on the Trinity T at midfield. Mr. Wakefield then slapped Coach Beatty on the back a little harder than the normal exchange between coaches. Wakefield stated the Bulldogs left it all on the field that game and took it to Trinity. Coach Beatty sought Wakefield out Friday to remind him Trinity left it all on the field and took it to Male this time. I am paraphrasing here "Enjoy turning in your gear on Monday". A couple of the Male players overheard the exchange and took offense to it and reacted negatively. These players were probably unaware of the original exchange in October.

The moral of the story is: Don't slap Coach Beatty on the back and verbally poke the bear and not expect to hear the same the next time.

I am confident Trinity had a nice bus ride home.

Look, these 2 teams DO NOT like each other, period. Extra curricular activity happened after the first meeting & it happened again Friday night. I'm fine with it, that's what makes it so much fun. For me, it doesn't take away an ounce of such an Amazing ballgame between 2 Great Teams. They both played at a Super High level, I hope they keep playing even though the Super District has been broken up.

This pretty much sums it all up

If the roles were reversed this board would be blowing up about how the Male coaches should let the play on the field in the playoff game speak for itself.

Also, sounds like the bear was just a cub after the first game but since he won he grew a pair.

Please, Beatty's resume speaks for itself, take all the shots you want, pathetic

Congrats to Trinity on the W. Two points I would like to make: 1) It sure seems the Trinity faithful are giving Coach B the benefit of the doubt, especially when the Trinity faithful jumped all over Mike Glaser for tiping his hat......

2) No Trinity players will be suspended.... players have been in way more trouble than a shoving match and still suited up and played in the post season....

Actually sounds like a couple of babies if you ask me. If what happened after the first game did occur, then leave it there, sounds like the M coach needed to grow up a bit. Now if Beaty returned the favor by acting like a 5 yr old after the playoff game then he is just as much a little baby as the M coach was. Neither one of them deserve an ounce of respect for the way they acted.

That isn't taking anything away from how good they Re as coaches, but it speaks volumes of how they handle themselves when not coaching. The adult in them, if there were one, would have simply shok hands and congratulated the other on a hard fought game and leave it at that.

Resume is irrelevant to what occurred after the game, if the resume does mean something here, he should act like he has been there done that, because he has.

Let me add the behavior described that happened in the first game is wrong, as well.

I wouldn't have taunted him like that, although I would have said something like "May I have this dance?"

So, a Male asst coach showed poor sportsmanship in the regular season game and head coach Beatty returned the favor with poor sportsmanship after this one.. Okay, I get it.. Way to be better than that Coach B.. That's the kind of coach I'd want teaching life lessons to my kid.. No wonder all the T fans want everyone to move on.. Even they know it wasn't the classiest thing to do..

Yes, it does speak to coaching. I tell my kids that if they hear something offensive, count to 10 before you respond. If you cannot control your emotions as an adult, you have no business being a leader of youth!!!!
