November 16, 201411 yr Are you sure? I don't think your right, but don't care enough about OSU to spend time researching it. Your "maybe" doesn't sound to promising though. Let me know when you can give me a name, I gave you two examples.
November 16, 201411 yr Aren't you the one trying to prove UK has Ohio kids on the roster that had commitable offers to Ohio State??? :idunno: I'm not trying to prove anything, you guys are the ones that decided to bring OSU into a Kentucky thread. I'm not going to spend my saturday night researching which recruits OSU offerred, sorry.
November 16, 201411 yr I'm not trying to prove anything, you guys are the ones that decided to bring OSU into a Kentucky thread. I'm not going to spend my saturday night researching which recruits OSU offerred, sorry. So I will leave you to enjoy your Saturday night with this. If Stoops continues to recruit kids Ohio State doesn't want and the best of KY as the foundation of the UK roster, it will be a team fighting for a bowl bid at best every year in the SEC. Guessing they get to 6 or 7 most of the time and maybe 8 on a special season that it all comes together. They aren't competing for the top 3 in an average SEC East with that recruiting philosophy. Get back to me if I'm ever wrong on that one...
November 16, 201411 yr Same debate I've seen for what seems to be decades. Is a 6 or 7-win bowl-eligible squad good enough? If not, what needs to be done? Seems simple to me. Recruit and retain players that are on the radar of the Georgias, Alabamas and Auburns of the world. Heck, Mississippi State seems to have found a way.

Get back to me if I'm ever wrong onp that one... I guess you missed the part where they aren't just recruiting Ohio and KY. You must have also missed tbe part where I said you have to crawl before you walk. Obviously the top talent.in thw country isn't going to flock here due to a new coaching staff. But if you can't see that they are getting better talent than they ever have, and that it may keep getting better...well, ill just get back to you.

You referenced Ohio and it comes out of all the Kentucky sports talk shows every time recruiting comes up, how UK has invaded Ohio. Gametime knows the state of Ohio very well and how football/recruiting works there. Oh and he knows a lil about basketball recruiting also.
November 16, 201411 yr It's a great plan IF you aren't in the SEC. Sparty runs a version of it. No doubt. Works great for those at the top of the B1G. You aren't getting past Georgia, Florida or Tennessee much less Bama, LSU or Auburn doing it that way. Add in Ole Miss, Miss St, South Carolina, Mizzou, A&M and Arkansas and you have UK firmly battling for 11-14 in the conference on a regular basis. It isn't changing unless they hammer the south hard and beat those above them for recruits on a regular basis...
November 16, 201411 yr It's a great plan IF you aren't in the SEC. Sparty runs a version of it. So now the anti sec guys are giving the sec credit, in attempt to slam UK and sparty? Comical.

Your the one in a UK thread trying to praise OSU and the big whatever it is these days, not I

November 16, 201411 yr This Ky. team is not progressing in any phase of the game.....just like other teams have done in the past or even worse IMO.....Stoops is no different than other coach's who have tried but sorely failed to make UK football competitive....Stoops needs to leave and find a real job
November 16, 201411 yr He was going to drive to the game but its 8 hours to Knoxville from Berea..... He visited Alabama yesterday for the Alabama-Mississippi State game...
November 16, 201411 yr On a side note, any more noise about Stoops going to Michigan?I would think the talk will rekindle really soon.......
