Never heard that one before...how exactly does a fella get the snow off the field if you can't shovel it? Somebody feeding RCC a line of bull...

 

Besides, what is it going to hurt if they tear it up, its 15 yrs old and going to get replaced in Feb...maybe I will make a pitch to the powers to be to install heated elements under the new field in the event we get any snow in the future and then nobody will have to plow it...:thumb:

 

Couple things about the turf. That has been the rules for a long time! Trust me. But now they have a need to get it off in a hurry, so they called the turf company for solutions. I was told the turf company provided them a solution of "rigging" a piece of PVC pipe over the blade of the plow to allow it to slide across the turf. I posted that on the other thread too.

 

But as Sweep points out, new turf on the way and this is most likely the last game played on this turf...so they may not be as careful as in the past.

Also, a fella would have to broom it off or water the field...melting the snow. Trust me...between the baseball coach and I, we've tried to think of everything to allow us to practice in Dec and Jan outside!

If you are going to heat it, you might as well running some A/C ducts to cool it in the summer...

I finally got to watch the regular season matchup today. It was a decent game.
