Like most games when the teams are close athletically, it will come down to execution. Last night, HHS did not execute well on scoring opportunities at times (inside the 5 twice with no points, missed 2 FG's although one was over 45 yards, clock mismanagement at end of 1st half that did not allow a FG attempt). I don't think that says HHS "was looking ahead" or was "flat"... they just did not execute. The HHS O moved the ball very well for most of the game, scored 30 and could have EASILY had 50 and then nobody is questioning their performance. The D really played very well the vast majority of the game. Two big plays accounted for all of Ashland's points and they have a great RB.

 

HHS will have to execute better against CovCath next week. They got away with some sloppiness last night but if they leave a lot of points on the field next Friday, they could be in trouble.

 

I predict HHS wins by 2 TD's but nothing ever surprises me in this game.

 

It seems like we have to ask this each week, but what is the CovCath injury situation after last night??

 

Completely agree with you, but wasn't the CC game that HHS left some points on the board too...similar to last night?

 

I truly think it will be a much better game with HHS winning by 2 td's. I think it's one of those games CC will keep it close but just can't get over the hump. JMO.

You are right about the first game - I had forgotten. If I remember correctly, HHS was up 14-0 at half (or something like that) and it could have been 28-0 or 31-0. Coulda, woulda, shoulda...HHS needs to finish drives in this game as CCH will put up a much better effort this time IMO. They were embarrassed last time and I am sure they have been pointing to this game since.

I do not think CCH will score an offensive TD.

QB is still dinged. No breakaway threat in the backfield. Passing game has not been explosive since about the 3rd week of the season.

Any chance of getting Proud Eagle to send up the refs that won the colonels the game against JC? it would be nice to play 17 to 11 on every play......in HIS/HER humble opinion.....

Wagner made mistakes first go round. Not buying that one, but it's ok. Me, I wouldn't of blamed that first game on him for sure.

Ok now that last nites titanic struggle is a forgone conclusion its time to focus on CovCath...

 

I wonder if this go round will have the excitement of the first dog and pony show?
