I think the Sheriff said that not long afterwards. That the deputy did what he was trained to do.

He started on the side and you see that in the video. So why do you say she couldn't have ran over the foot while

the front. Peoe seem to forget how adrenaline works. A lot of time when adrenalin is running high you don't even realize you are hurt and don't feel

the pain right away. Could have very easily been run over and then moved to the front of the car.

If I'm reading this correctly, according to the deputy's statement of 4-26-14 (link below), the foot injury occurred after he fired the shots:

 

"Once firing the 4 rounds, Deputy Brockman fell fom the vehicle landing on his right foot and felt a sharp pain and a physical pop."
