November 6, 201411 yr Mine are a bit unconventional: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Scrooged Love, Actually The Ref Bad Santa "Love Actually" is one of my guilty pleasures. I can't tell you exactly why, but I do like ensemble pieces. This is one of the best, IMHO.
November 6, 201411 yr I also love The Holiday with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black and Jude Law. Swamprat, you may like this one if you liked Love Actually!
November 6, 201411 yr Can't believe I forgot about The Ref. Maybe Dennis Leary's best work (hat tip to Demolition Man). Leary was the only reason we went to the theater to watch it. Dennis got to do some of his stand-up in that one. There are a couple of lines from "No Cure For Cancer" that he used in the film and his performance had that rhythm. Especially when his is talking to Murray. It was the first time I ever saw Kevin Spacey in a movie.

November 6, 201411 yr I can't stand A Christmas Story! #TeamGetslow #trueconfessions I really like that movie. That said, Randy Parker is a sniveling twerp. If Randy hadn't ratted him out, Ralphie would have kept beating the snot out of Scut Farkus and been the coolest kid in school forever. Instead, he gets busted by mom and starts crying, which is of course, the opposite of a cool thing to do. Randy is just the worst.
