November 3, 201411 yr I'd argue this is the biggest game of the season so far for both. I think the journey has been a little strange but I agree this game is HUGE.
November 3, 201411 yr Author I'll be there with my son. Need somebody to tailgate with! The guy from post #3 is a fun pre-gamer, I miss those times.
November 3, 201411 yr I forgot about him. Yeah I was kind of hoping the browns would be out of the race before he came back. The bengals at worst need to at least split their games with the browns and steelers. If the bengals do that then the bengals own all tiebreakers in the divison because they would have the best divison record at 4 and 2. So I hope the bengals can sweep the divison but they need to at least split their remaining division games.
November 3, 201411 yr .... Possibilities: * The Browns, after going 2-1 against oatmeal the last three weeks (2-22 combined record, I think), get exposed against a good (not great) Bengals team. Hoyer is shown to be just okay, he struggles mightily, and the Browns aren't able to get Tate & company going on the ground. Bengals win by 14+ points. * Bengals do what the Bengals do when the stadium lights are on and the world is watching...lay an enormous egg. O-line struggles, Dalton makes bad decisions, and they get gashed on the ground exacerbating the offense's problems. The Browns play inspired football with a chance to show the world that they are on their way back. Browns win by 7-10. * Both of the above occur, the game is absolutely unwatchable, and the Bengals win by 1-7. You could talk me into any of the above occurring.
November 3, 201411 yr Only sure bet.... Marvin commits at least a couple of screws up , probably not enough to cost them this game however.
November 3, 201411 yr Gordon comes back in Game 11. The Browns offense is struggling because their ground game disappeared. Their ground game disappeared because they lost their center. The blocking scheme employed by OC Shanahan requires a lot of the line and the new guy is still learning. Without being able to run the ball, they become very one dimensional and therefore make it hard on Hoyer and the passing game. If the Browns get some production from the run game, and that is a big IF, this will be an interesting game and I like the Browns chances. Unfortunately, their D-Line is also suffering from multiple injuries and have had trouble stopping the run. The Bengals Jeremy Hill poses a big challenge. I am predicting Hoyer rises to the challenge and the defense does just enough to win this game. I hope Haden can shut down Green again. I am not sure that the Browns have another DB to hang with Sanu. Maybe Ginger will have a couple of misfires and Gipson will get a couple more pics. It would also be nice to see Hawkins have a big game. Of course, that is just my perspective as a Browns fan living in Bengal territory.
November 4, 201411 yr This game is critical for the Bengals for a play off push. Not only being a divisional game, but also a home game. The Bengals have 5 of the last 7 games on the road, so they must protect home turf. Both teams have several players out due to injuries (but this time of the year most teams do), hopefully the Bengals can keep the running game going and get a victory.
