October 22, 201412 yr I know about his behavior and background, but two DTs of Atkins and Suh would make the Bengals D-line very interesting. Suh would certainly be an upgrade over Peko. What do you all think? NFL trade proposal - Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to Cincinnati Bengals - ESPN

October 22, 201412 yr ..... On a more serious note: while this is 90% the concoction of some ESPN writer, you have to wonder if there isn't a small chance that it is bubbling up from the fact that Geno isn't nearly what he was, and there exists a very real fear with in Paul Brown Stadium that he may never get back to what he was. Just a thought that I hope I'm absolutely wrong about.

Just a thought that I hope I'm absolutely wrong about. That may be true, hope not. However, I think it has a lot more to do with us lacking depth and getting consistently blown off the ball at DT.
October 22, 201412 yr Author this same guy wrote something about the Texans getting Tom Brady, so let's temper the excitement a little. I was thinking of starting a thread on that one too, so that I could watch the subsequent UKMustangFan meltdown.
October 22, 201412 yr So rent Suh for one year and give the Lions our first round from last year and 2nd rounder next year? Better win the Super Bowl this year or it sets the franchise back.
October 22, 201412 yr While Burfict is spearing opponents in the head Suh will be giving Marvin his own rendition of Big Time Wrasslin.

Yes, you beat me to it. The Bengals could not resign Michael Johnson,so there is no way they sign Suh. Not a good move at all. The Bengals MUST get younger in the Defensive Backfield, and the only way they can do that is with draft picks. Granted, their last two DB's have yet to work out, but I'd rather take my chances there than bringing in Suh for this year.
October 23, 201412 yr I think it is obvious, it would be a monster pick up. I would love it. However, it makes no sense unless they can sign him to a long term contract. The only way that happens is if they offer up Geno in the trade and a second rounder. If you can't sign him long term, it again just defies any logic. You can't give up what the author is suggesting for 10 games.
October 23, 201412 yr As I said in the Gresham thread, the Bengals do NOT trade. Thus, there is no way the Bengals do this!
