Ndamukong Suh to Bengals?

Featured Replies

Suh is a free agent after the year and he could take money that should go to AJ.

It goes without saying that the Bengals would have to sign Suh to a long term contract or this is a non-starter.

Yes, you beat me to it. The Bengals could not resign Michael Johnson,so there is no way they sign Suh. Not a good move at all. The Bengals MUST get younger in the Defensive Backfield, and the only way they can do that is with draft picks. Granted, their last two DB's have yet to work out, but I'd rather take my chances there than bringing in Suh for this year.

If you remember Johnson wanted more cash than the Bengals were offering so the Bengals signed Dunlap for the long term, wasted way too much money on Johnson by tagging him for one year, and then let him go.

It wasn't so much they couldn't resign Johnson but rather like in the case of Anthony Collins the Bucs were willing to overpay.

Where I was going was if this team was worried about depth, they would have gone after Johnson more aggressively. If they were not willing to ante up for Johnson, they sure would not rent Suh. They are only down one interior DL, and that is Thompson. They other DL's are outside guys, and we should get both back this week.

Again, I just don't see the Bengals trading. That is just not Marvin Lewis.

I know you are clear on this but for arguments sake Johnson is a DE, Suh is a DT. We are decent at DE, we need help at DT.

Thompson will probably be back this week and that is a HUGE help but we still need to upgrade at DT.

It's not going to happen so it's a non starter either way.

I hope you are wrong. :D

I would love if Suh played for the Bengals.

Dont the Bungles give up enough penalty yards as it is?
