Might be spending the night in BG this week.

Besides the chains what are some good dining choices in BG or the surrounding area?

Your son has good taste! I've eaten at Mariah's & recommend the Lettuce Wraps & Bread Pudding. Here is their website

Under no circumstances should you eat at a Mexican restaurant in a gas station in BG. Trust me.

We always make it a point to eat at Montana Grill when we're in BG. Love their Bourbon Filet and jalapeno cornbread. But, I don't think they've reopened from the fire they had recently.

WahBah Steakhouse on Russleville Rd.

The Smokey Pig on Duncan Hines hwy. Take the vette museum exit, go towards town bout 1 1/2 miles on left. Hole in the wall place but good meat and sauce.

Stopped by there last Dec. on the way to Nashville. It was closed for a couple of weeks due to vacation lol. Went to The Lost River Pizza Co. Outstanding pizza and awesome selection of craft beer.

They have not reopened yet, stayed at the Courtyard next to it last night.

Mariah's is hard to beat.

I also like 440 Main.

Ahhh man that sucks. They are closed Mondays as well...found that out the hard way too.:( Their sliced shoulder is really good. And I'm a big fan of the bbq sauce. A thinner sauce with just the right amount of spice, bite and sweetness.

By the way Clyde, stop by the Corvette museum and check out the sink hole if you haven't seen it...something cool to see. I have seen it several times for work related purposes. They are getting ready to start filling it in in a few days so it won't be there for much longer.

Go to 440 Main.

Montana Grill caught on fire a couple weeks ago, they're not open at the moment.

Mariah's, IMO, has not been as good since they moved locations.

Murray's has been closed for years and has changed names several times.

Let me know what you'd like and I can give you my best suggestions.
