tcjkbt Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 For a conditional draft pick. Wow What is Seattle's reasoning behind this trade? At first blush and without knowing the back story, it doesn't make much sense to me. Bad actor? Contract to expire?

Bad actor? Contract to expire? Not saying this is why, but from what I have read one of the reasons why he was traded was because of his attitude and bad character on the team.
bugatti Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Wow! That came out of nowhere. Harvin is the most electric player in the league but is such a (health) liability. You can make a case for him being the MVP of the last Superbowl.
GrizzlyAdams Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I think 2 things played into a factor here. 1. Cap room, next year is Russell Wilson signing so that helps some. 2. From what I read he was a terrible person to be in the locker room with. Just cutting their losses with him now.
price499 Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 Well.... @mikefreemanNFL: Seahawks team source: "Percy didn't want to be here. We accommodated him." Seahawks say there is a statement coming soon...
born2reign Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Jets could have used him last night! This strikes me as a good move for the Jets
GrizzlyAdams Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Jets could have used him last night! This strikes me as a good move for the Jets From what I read between a 2nd-4th rounder. I say its worth a shot. If he's healthy would be worth it.
Hangman Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Surprised by the move, but Pete and John Schneider have earned the right to make perceived questionable moves without me questioning them.
NEERFAN Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 How in the world can he have 23 catches for 133 yards? Seattle got little return on their investment. Every year we wait for Percy to just turn it on but it never comes to fruition. Never a 1,000 yard receiver, never catching more than six TDs.
JBCousins Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Sounds like addition by subtraction. Bold move by the Seahawks. Would most teams do this? Bengals?
ggclfan Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Sounds like addition by subtraction. Bold move by the Seahawks. Would most teams do this? Bengals? I agree. He must be a real pain in the locker room. You must assume Doug Baldwin was talking about him (or him and some others) with his comments last week. You don't get rid of a guy as talented as Harvin in the middle of the year unless there is significant baggage that comes with him. May be a good move for the Jets too. Maybe this will be a wake up call for Harvin and he is clearly the most talented guy on that offense. Decker can now be a #2 receiver which he should be.
Clyde Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Wilson QBR with Harvin on the field was about 45. With Harvin off the field ? About 71.
rjs4470 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Percy hasn't been getting it done and as was mentioned, he appears to have been a pain in the locker room....confrontations with teammates and a team source said he has anger issues. He has 1 catch this year of a ball thrown more than 10 yards this year.
