This thread exemplifies the dominance of certain regions represented on BGP. We really need to work on our membership from E-Town and the rest of Central Ky.

CovCath has a shot. I know its preseason but they lost by 1 in OT to Shelby without Bovard or Brown, and Shelby is considered one of the top 3 teams to win it. They also competed with Scott Co. who was considered a top team in the state. And in the past few weeks the emergence of Danny Noll helps big time to get scoring from a big guy.

Im loving all these fans who have most likely never seen CovCath play and still are talkin about how they will not make it anywhere. They have been playing really well as of late and they have been playing team ball.

I like this as the final four....

Shelby Co vs South Laurel

Cov Cath vs. Madison Central

Finals- Shelby Co vs. Madison Central Winner- Madison Central

I think you may have a winner in there somewhere but not Madison Central, (just because they beat Scott County.

I like South Laurel's chances, they did look tough the only game I saw, against North College Hill.

Here are the results as of 5:00PM, Monday. South Laurel in the lead, followed by CovCath then Shelby County.

There is obviously very little participation on the board from Western KY (or is it just that the kids aren't home from school yet?).

Apollo 1 0.59%

"...We can't hear you..." :D

I am happy to see Covington Catholic in this year's Sweet 16. I hope all of their student body shows up in their cheering section.

I have found them to be as entertaining as their basketball team!

I heard they were pretty good at the regionals

One thing that makes me think that CovCath has a legitamate shot at the title is that they don't lose games that they are supposed to win. Losses from the top contenders: Madison Central had Dunbar, Shelby County had St. X, South Laurel had Boyle and only slightly edged Barbourville, Jtown had CAL, and PRP had Doss (to an extent). I am not saying that CovCath is unbeatable, but it is possible for the other teams to have a bad game or two, and with CCH's confidence at this point, they could take advantage.
