October 15, 201412 yr Wow. That was a very touching story. I can only imagine the feeling of helplessness the parents have right now. We talk about strength and courage in athletics all the time. This is truly strength and courage!!!
October 15, 201412 yr Author Story has been picked up by nba.com, Sports Illustrated, Bleacher Report, just to name a few... Stories like these really give me a new look on living life. Just an awesome, awesome story.
October 16, 201412 yr Wow. What an incredibly hard and sad story to watch. I had the cry that gives you that hard lump in your throat. My prayers go out to this young lady and her family.
October 16, 201412 yr Incredibly sad. Not sure how you can watch that video and not shed a tear. Prayers for her and her family in these trying times they're facing.
October 16, 201412 yr Mount St. Joseph University Because of the public’s overwhelming demand for tickets, Mount St. Joseph University administrators, in consultation with Lauren and her family, decided to hold the game at an alternate venue to accommodate a larger crowd. October 16, 201412 yr ...... Kudos to Hiram College for giving up the home game and making the 4 hour trip down as well, that shouldn't be lost on anyone! Will be a nice treat for their women's team to get to play in a nice arena in front of what I bet will be a really good crowd!
October 16, 201412 yr But Lauren wants her story told to bring awareness to DIPG, which has a zero percent survival rate.
October 16, 201412 yr Others have stated this but hats off to Hiram, MSJ, and XU. Hopefully, they can sell Cintas Center out and donate the money to research. Horrible story bringing out the best in a lot of people. Prayers to her and her family.
October 17, 201412 yr Such a tough story to get through. As others have said, great work on the parts of MSJ, Hiram, XU, and the NCAA for making this happen. I plan on attending as well if anyone wants to go.

October 21, 201412 yr Anyone know who I need to talk to for media credentials? Will that be handled by MSJ or by the Cintas Center? I am going to this game come hell or high water. This story has shaken me up this morning.
