I respect the Tiger program and they've had some great teams in the past, but, they haven't had near the same teams the past 5 or so years and as much as some would love to call Mayfield a rival, fact is, consistent one-sided outcomes doesn't make for that great a rivalry.. With Mayfield going to 2a next year, better make the best out of this one last opportunity, otherwise it'll haunt you for the rest of your lives.. Even if Mayfield loses this year, 6-1 is still pretty dominant in my book, so, we have nothing to lose and another state title to gain..

We here the Bw faithful every year proclaiming this is their year. Last year the preview for preseason claimed Bw was the favorite to win the title. This years addition of the Cards does not offer up the usual offensive flair but has a defense that is very very good and will have to carry the Cards of Mf is to win a title. I think Bw is capable this year but I fully expect Mayfield to win it and they likely will

The way I look at it, the question says this week, so I would give BW the edge. I think they are on a high right now and would play extremely confident. We are in the lull part of our schedule and might not have the fire that it would take to win. The thing is, this game will only happen deep in the playoffs where the season is on the line, and that's when the mental aspect would play a huge role. That is when I give the edge to the red helmets!

It will be the Friday after Thanksgiving.....like always...except in 95 in the State Title game.
