September 30, 201411 yr I'm not confident that any one of them is better than the others. But I think if I was drafting a team, and LeBron doesn't count as a PG, I'd take Westbrook first.
September 30, 201411 yr Funny, with Westbrook in the lineup they at least make the Western Conference Finals. Without him they get beat in the second round. Chris Paul arguably has a better roster around him and can't even make it to the Western Conference Finals. Which is worse? They're an average team. Who would you say is a star? Blake Griffin? No chance, great dunker, like his commercials, but he's not KD. Sure they made it to the finals, but in that vein, where would the Clips been without Paul? I think we all know the answer to that.

Blake Griffin came in 3rd in MVP voting last season and by all accounts(except yours) is an improved player who is more than just a dunker. The Clippers finished with the 3rd best record in the NBA which was good enough for the 3rd best record overall. Had they made the NBA Finals they'd have had home court advantage. That's an above average team. Looking at both rosters an argument can be made that the Clippers are more talented than the Thunder and have a better coach than the Thunder.

September 30, 201411 yr Rondo has proven to be garbage without 3 HOFers on his team. To be fair he only played 30 games without at least 2 HOFers on his team, after coming back from a year long injury. Pierce and Garnett left while he was hurt and Ray left the year before.
September 30, 201411 yr I can remember (a couple of years after the fact) Rick Pitino saying he told Mark Jackson that he was the best point guard in the league. And the coach then followed up that comment...for the purpose of the article...saying, "The point wasn't whether Jackson was or wasn't the best, the point was to get him to believe that he was." So...maybe Scotty Brooks is playing head games too.
September 30, 201411 yr Tony Parker is a very good point guard. My beef with him is that he'll score 22 points in a quarter and will finish the game with 23 points. I thought he scored 40 points in one game until I realized it was Patty Mills out there half the time. Parker is very nice and underrated but there are at least 4 point guards I would take before him. I'd take Rondo over Parker but there are 4-6 point guards I would take over Rondo also. Rondo has proven to be garbage without 3 HOFers on his team. I like Rondo, but he can not carry a team scoring wise like Parker can. That floater in the lane is about as automatic as a guy can make it.
