I don't care to say that I was emotional the entire game and then to have it end like it did.......WOW, Derek Jeter couldn't have had a last at bat at Yankee stadium that was anything different. A single to the right side between the 1st / 2nd basemen to drive in the winning run. I could list a lot of his clutch hits but this one that meant nothing as far as standings, playoff or WS game may have meant the most to him. Derek Jeter is CLASS, He IS Major League Baseball ............ There will Never be another one, especially in this day and time. I personally think that MLB should put Jeter's image on the MLB logo, the image now is Harmon Killibrew. Thanks for the Memories Jeets, the Yankee Captain. What was that line in the Robin Williams movie - "Captain my captain" ??

September 26, 201411 yr Derek Jeter is one of those guys in sports that is really hard to dislike. I loathe the Yankees, but can't get enough of Jeets. What a fitting ending to a great career.
September 26, 201411 yr I love it when these star players make it happen in situations like this. I remember being at Johnny Bench night and seeing him hit a HR. It was an awesome moment.
September 26, 201411 yr Cool ending to his career at the stadium. I'm up in Harrisburg, PA this week and one of the dispatchers that I'm working with tonight is a huge Yankee fan. He's going up to Fenway tomorrow hoping to see Jeter one last time. Hopefully he DHs or pinch hits or something for him. I think tomorrow is the night that the Red Sox are giving him his gifts so he'll at least get to see that.
