With the Republicans possibly taking over the majority in the Senate does this mean that Obama will have to nominate a middle grounder or will he challenge the Senate and nominate a hard left ideologue? Or do you think Barry and Harry will try to push through a nomination during the lame duck period of this Senate? The internal polls (the real ones) probably indicate the Senate is lost to the Repubs. If so, two things come into play. a) They will want to push through the next nominee before January and b) if Holder stays he will have the Senate in his shorts just like the house on F&F, IRS, Benghazi, etc. So the administration needs him to leave now so that they can send the replacement up to the Hill for testimony to do a Sgt. Schultz act with some level of plausibility.

Obama will nominate another divisive yes (wo)man who is in step with his own political philosophy. Whoever Obama nominates, I fully expect that any Republican opposition will be met with charges of racism, sexism, and/or homophobia. A black lesbian Muslim would be the ideal nominee with an election looming. Legal qualifications will not be a consideration.
