The National Football League: Where The Hits Just Keep On Coming

Why is it so hard to not hit a woman? I just do not understand.

How stupid is these guys?

I think it has happened a lot more than we realize but now women are feeling more empowered to come forward. Plus the media is all over it now. There was a stretch a few years back that the Steelers had a whole series of players that got in trouble for domestic violence and everyone just went on their merry way and paid little attention to it. That always bugged me because it was around the time when the Bengals were considered the bad boys of the NFL and here were the Steeler players beating up women and no one said a word about it.

Pitiful. Just pitiful.

He allegedly fractured something on his wife's body and abused an 18 month old child. He is a fringe player by NFL standards and is done IMO. Not that it should matter. He, as the others, should get jail time. We know Rice won't, we'll see about the others.

Ok.

Ill bet that there will be tons of disgruntled partners who cry wolf also. Call me cynical.

Evidently this incident happened in July

Ok.

You're a Steelers fan. You don't remember when they had a couple year stretch when 4 or 5 players all had domestic violence incidents?

Let me help you out:

2006 Santonio Holmes domestic violence

2007 Najeh Davenport arrested for domestic violence

2007 LB Richard Siegler arrested for being a pimp

2008 James Harrison domestic violence

2008 Cedric Wilson domestic violence

The of course you have the Roethlisberger incidents.
