John Hardin is 0-3, losing by 33 to Central Hardin along the way. P-T is 0-3 and got demolished by 1A Mayfield. Warren Central just got their clocks cleaned by 2A DeSales.

Did highlands win? Actually think of all the negative things they dealt with during the game and still came out on top. You do not have to have a running clock every week to be successful. Coaches learned a lot about some kids last night both good and bad.

They may not be cupcakes...but John Hardin and Paducah Tilghman are shadows of some of their recent teams. If Highlands struggles with either then it is time to take notice in Bird-Ville. Highlands should beat both by 4+ TD's.

I tend to agree here. I would expect HHS to take care of business in those games as well. I know we say the defense played well last night "considering"...I guess my question is what did Station do that others weren't able to do in the past. HHS has played plenty of teams with those types of athletes over the years and have been able to contain them. Why was Station so hard to contain? Or are we just not as fast to the ball as we have been in the past? I wasn't there, so I'm really asking the Birds fans the question. OR is Station better than everyone is giving them credit???

I didn't see the paper but was in the stands. The pass was a wounded duck/floater that could've easily been knocked down or intercepted. The Bryan Station back slipped as he broke for the ball.

 

And nothing else happened during the course of the game that led to an advantage for Station?? You can't look at just one play because it happened to be at the end of the game.

Contain was only a small part of it. In the first half alone, 3 of the first 4 scores were the result of one drive just inside of midfield, one from around the 20 and another from the 3. Those are called short fields and certainly put a lot of pressure on a defense. Two other scores were the result of blown coverage in the secondary.

It's arrogant to imply that a team not even on the same class (two classes higher) as Highlands would consider Highlands their "state championship." You really think Bryan Station cares if they lost to Highlands if they make a run in the playoffs? Really? Maybe teams in NKY feel that way, but I HIGHLY doubt any other 6A school looks at a game versus Highlands as highly as you think they do... Highlands tradition speaks for itself, but don't pull a muscle trying to pat yourself on the back...
