August 29, 201412 yr This should be a fun category, given rock'n'roll and folk music's history of protest songs. I'll start with the one that might possibly be the angriest tune I've ever heard: "100 Miles and Runnin'" by NWA
August 29, 201412 yr Springsteen's "Born in the USA," "Johnny 99," and "Adam Raised a Cain" are on my list.
August 29, 201412 yr "Fight the Power" by Public Enemy People, people we are the same No we're not the same Cause we don't know the game
August 29, 201412 yr ..... "Courtesy of the Red, White, & Blue (The Angry American)" by Toby Keith. And I LOVE that song.
August 29, 201412 yr Rich Hardesty has a good one but I can't even post the title here. It singlehandedly got me through a divorce and 2 breakups.
August 29, 201412 yr Man if folks start talking punk, metal, and grunge in this thread it could get plenty dark plenty fast. For me, I'll throw Ice T, "Colors" out there. I like the song, and the dude is not a bit happy about things. I actually think it's one of the best rap/hip hop songs of the generation. Worth a listen.
August 29, 201412 yr "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette I still can't believe this song is about the corky Brogher Inlaw Joey from Full House
August 29, 201412 yr When I think angry music, the group Disturbed comes to mind. "Down With the Sickness" is as angry a song as there is. Limp Bizkit was kind of lame at times, but "Break Stuff" is pretty angry too.
