Drew McDonald Commits

Featured Replies

Due to the fact that Coach Bezold has had the offer on the table for quite some time, I would not be going out on a limb to say YES it is for basketball. :idunno: Most wouldn't have even thought of it as golf committment after the summer this young man had on the basketball floor. Not sure I would have brought it up on this thread, maybe a golf thread, but that's just my opinion.

As for NKU, they are getting a very good basketball player whose athletic ability, knowledge of the game, passion for the game is off the charts!! Not to mention a VERY good student. No one has worked harder for this than Drew has over the past 3 years and this is well deserved reward!!

Congrats to Drew and his family!!

People threw the golf in there as a compliment to Drew. NKU wanted him so badly that they are letting him play a second sport. Not many coaches are cool w/ that. They have that much faith in his maturity to be able to handle the school load and sports prep.

 Congrats to Drew and to the NKU Basketball Program.

Congrats to Drew on committing to NKU. Seen that he shot 31 on the fron 9 of Twin Oaks the other day!

I also agree he is a very good golf talent, but my reply was just a reply as to show hard he has worked on and off the basketball court and didn't want that to go unnoticed or have the focus taken from that.

Now back to the celebration of this event:thumb:

I am certainly not discounting his achievements on the basketball court. I just know that he is an excellent golfer as well. Glad to hear he will be able to pursue both at NKU if he so chooses. :thumb:

Congratulations to Drew and his family. It's great when half of your college schedule is played in your backyard. He'll do very well with the Norse.

NCC and his family should be and obviously are proud. He's a great representative for both. As an NKU grad I'm thrilled to have high quality people in the program.

Congrats to big Drew! Great to be able to play in town and have the family support.

Congrats to Drew. With Hagen committing Sunday NKU has 2 very good pieces to build around. Not exactly sure what the Norse will have coming back in 2016 but I expect both of them to get quality minutes as freshmen.

Congrats to Drew and his family. Will be fun to be able to continue to watch him throughout his career.

Best of luck..

EXCELLENT! Congrats to Drew, his family, and NCC family. A great "get" for NKU!

Congrats Drew and family. I have always enjoyed his game. Great get for NKU, I know several birds are waiting for him to move on in both sports! That is a definite compliment!!
