Almost 10% of the student body is on the football roster. Most won't still be on the roster as seniors. Football is an enrollment driver at many D3 schools. In a lot of ways, it's tougher to earn a spot at a D3 school than a D1 school.

Same goes for playing all four years. There are some extremely talented kids on this team and DIII teams all over the country. I heard TMC will usually bring in around 80 to 100 freshman a year. I just count around 90. If there are 30 left three years from now that will be a good number.

You are correct. I believe this year they will have 23 Seniors Approx. Getting playing time and being engaged yearly will be a key.

Then it would only be harder to get on the field if you weren't a good football player, right? A kid like Kuntz will get on the field quicker at TMC than he would have at WKU. Same is true for most of those guys. The quicker path to PT is at a D3, if not, go D1 and tryout.

 

Don't get me wrong, glad we have someplace for these to continue playing after HS but let's not think that D3 is anything more than that.
