August 17, 201412 yr I may have said it before but I hate that businesses can immediately take money off of my credit card and it takes eleventy billion days to credit it back to my account. Stupidity.........

Stupidity......... That's actually a banking practice. Businesses process the charge and release any remaining authorization within hours of the transaction.

Stupidity......... I agree. The banks are much quicker taking your money than they are giving it back. Back when I first entered the labor force, big companies would often issue paychecks drawn on banks on the other side of the country so that they could collect interest on the money until the checks cleared. If it paid banks to credit accounts quicker, then they could and would find a way to do it.
August 17, 201412 yr I hate it!!!! It's the process of your card holder, visa/mastercard/etc. It's a series of transactions that occur controlled by whomever is the name on the card. Here's what is on one popular banking site: The card company must receive this information, check it against your purchase history, confirm the merchant's request, clear the refund with its bank and transfer the credit to your account. The credit card's billing department must then issue a statement that shows the refund as a credit, which serves as the final step in the process. So even if it's your debit card, it's not your bank's fault.
