August 20, 201412 yr Convenience store cappuchino When I worked @ SBUX I was on the team that opened a new store in an area that had no coffee shops whatsoever. I can't tell you how many people were angry when their cappuccino they ordered wasn't what they expected. Their idea of a cappuccino was Thornton's, and that is NOT a cappuccino. Then there was the night a girl came in and wanted a hot chocolate. When she asked how we made it, we explained with steamed milk, mocha syrup, vanilla syrup, whipped cream and mocha drizzle, she said she wanted us to make her a 'REAL' hot chocolate. When pressed for more details she said "You know! With powdered chocolate!". :ohbrother:
August 20, 201412 yr Unnecessary bureaucracy because close minded people are unwilling to learn a process and communicate effectively with their co-workers. Nothing like creating ridiculousness standard operating procedures because of laziness and folks attempting to validate their positions/roles in a business. :poop:
August 20, 201412 yr Bad timing. Seems to be a trend with me right now. Among recent examples, just found what looked like a sweet deal on a car on Craigslist. Told the seller I wanted to see it ASAP and locked in on the date/time to meet. Got a text 5 mins before we left that said “sorry just sold the car to someone with the apt right before yours.” The car had been posted a week and someone buys it an hour before me.
